Tango--20"x30" Gallery Contemporary Scratches and reflections on a construction dumpster. I was attracted to the rusty scratch on a dumpster. There was a problem though as the scratch was on an otherwise uniform solid color surface. Once I changed my shooting angle I realized that the reflected light would be an compositional asset and the subject suddenly became interesting to me. I named it “Tango” because I see an interplay between the feminine scratch figure and a rather machismo dance partner defined by the specular highlights of the metallic surface.
