The “mountains” at the bottom of this image are the result of paint corrosion on a painted metal fence post. I have found that metal pipes are one of the more difficult everyday objects to photograph as the curved surface makes it problematic as a pallet. For me, one of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of capturing randomness comes when meaning emerges from something that would otherwise garner no interest of offer any aesthetic value in the world.
