Monet Pond Scene--
Rust pattern on a metal garage door.
A house in my neighborhood was renovated with a rustic, unpainted metal garage door that allows random patterns of rust to develop. I have a fond memory of walking by with my wife Terry, convinced that an artist had put beautiful patterns into the garage. We debated the appropriateness of asking the owners about this, and when I finally did approach them, they said it was random and granted me permission to take photos of the garage. Monet Pond Scene is a minute detail of this garage door. I also took an additional image—Full Monet Pond which shows some of the surrounding abstract rust patterns.
