While walking by a construction zone near 11th and Ash Street, I saw an empty hauling vehicle with some remnants of asphalt stuck to its bed. The sunlight hitting the top area of the bed caught my eye so I snapped the photo without knowing how nicely it would turn out. I cropped the image and ran it through a filter to accentuate the incipient colors in the image. You can see the unedited version of this photo in the "Basis Shots" gallery.

This was a one-time opportunity. If the opportunity had presented itself again I would surely have shot it again with in-camera cropping to match this final image, but trucks, as well as most garbage and puddles, don't often stay around for long.
